Park Programs
Birds, bats, bees, even model airplanes do it. As part of Warner Parks' Nature Center education schedule, EWMA gives programs that teach about the phenomenon and logistics of flight. This partnership is good park stewardship and excellent PR for the club. As in the past, interest in becoming pilots will be sparked by some of the youngsters attending. Several will become club members. One of the programs generally occurs during Nashville's Spring Break for school children.

These programs are always well attended by the children, parents, and club members. Besides the presentation of how airplanes fly and how our model airplanes are controlled, entertainment is also a part of the program. After the flying demonstration of different aircraft, combat between airplanes with streamers takes place. There is also a candy drop from a 12-foot Telemaster provided by Hobby Lobby, seen in the right sidebar. Giving the programs is a rewarding experience for all involved. In appreciation of EWMA's volunteering spirit, the pilot participants are invited to a delicious thank you party around Christmas time.
