Stephen first spotted this Taylorcraft in the April 1993 addition of Model Aviation and promptly ordered the plans. Building was started in January 1999, finished May 2000, and flown on Labor Day of 2001.

It is tailored (pun intended) after the 1941 Taylorcraft BC-12-65. The Taylorcraft Airplane Company of Alliance,Ohio was formed when C.Gilbert Taylor (who designed & developed the Piper Cub) had a disagreement with Mr.Piper and left to form his own Company.

Wade Hill took Stepnen to see a full scale Taylorcraft hangered at Murfreesboro, TN so he could take pictures and get more accurate fine detail information. This beauty is 1/4 scale which makes the wingspan 108 inches. She is powered by a twin four-stroke OS 120 and is one of the nicest models to ever grace EWMA's field.
