| Perfect Pecan Pie -- Mary Alice Fanning 1/2 cup light brown sugar 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted 2 eggs, lightly beaten 2 tablespoons flour - all purpose 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup white Karo syrup 1 cup broken pecans 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring Set out eggs, syrup and butter (or margarine) an hour or so before making pie. Leave pie crust frozen (use only deep dish pie crust). Mix sugar, flour, salt. Then cream in butter. Add eggs and mix well. Then add syrup and flavoring and mix with electric mixer, then add pecans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake in frozen unbaked pie shell at 325 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes. This is my mother's recipe but I have no idea how old it is. Nevertheless, it is perfectly delicious.
