This is an ornithopter which Dr. Leith Potter built and flew across the room at a club breakfast meeting. The unusual setting for the picture is the result of needed protection from the wind for this sensitive flapper. Not too long ago club members couldn't spell or pronounce ornithopter -- now we have one.
