EWMA Splash-In: O.B. Stewart
Perched on a rock, O.B. couldn't go much further into the water without swimming. The three channel plane is his own scratch built that he uses for testing receivers, engines, etc., and general sport flying. O.B. has referred to it in the past as his Hickory Stix I. It's roots extend way back -- some RCM basic trainer, some .40 Kaos.

The first one of these planes to fly with floats was a few years back which never had wheels. It was flown off water the first time and always after that from water. O.B. used a K&B Stallion .35 green head, with a Perry carb and Simco muffler.

The current HS I is being flown with an OS .40 RC. It also has been flown with an Enya .29 and Perry carb. O.B. says the plane probably would fly with a good .19 size engine, but not off water. The floats are Gee Bee 28s, as were used on the other float planes he has flown.
