| Is this a proud pappa or what? A Drake II designed by Ken Willard is displayed by James. This is one of the best looking seaplanes around and she flies good too. Janes did a superb job of constructing this model. As mentioned in the 2005 May EWMA newsletter, this is the plane which Bob Dorris and Richard Rust wanted to have CAD plans drawn and laser interlocking parts cut. So far, a dozen kits have been made for club members to build. The laser cut offering has barn door ailerons and a bolted on wing. Two versions of the kit are available: one for electric and the other for glow. The first of these kits was completed by Dr. Bill Bradford. |
